TOP 300 - Nº 292 - Joachim Witt - Goldener Reiter

As canções alemãs também fazem parte da minha lista Top 300, pois vivi nesse país que me viu nascer pouco mais de 22 anos. Este nº 292 faz parte da na altura designada “Neue Deutsche Welle”, nova onda alemã, em que apareceram inúmeros grupos a cantar na sua língua materna. Quem não se lembra da Nena que foi talvez a cantora que mais se destacou internacionalmente dessa onda. E claro, os Kraftwerk! Embora aparecessem antes do “rebentar” dessa onda mas foram mais tarde nela incluída.

Esta canção de 1981 (Goldener Reiter = cavaleiro dourado) foi o primeiro sucesso de Joachim Witt na Alemanha (2º lugar) e até chegou à Áustria (6º lugar). Seguiram-se canções de menor sucesso até que em 1998 lançou a sua canção mais vendida “Die Flut”.

Voltando ao cavaleiro dourado, aqui se canta sobre alguém que era muito famoso, mas “passou-se”, e foi internado numa clínica psiquiátrica onde cabem todos os centros comerciais da cidade. O vídeoclip foi filmado em Hamburgo.

This nº 292 is considerate taking part of the “Neue Deutsche Welle” new German wave, where several in their mother language singing bands appeared. Everybody remembers Nena, she maybe was the artist coming from hat wave who is internationally most known. And of course, Kraftwerk! They started to sing way before the beginning of that wave but were “flooded” in it later.

This song from 1981 (which means golden horseman) was the first success of Joachim Witt, reached in Germany 2th place and even got to Austria (6th place). Minor successful songs followed until in 98 he launched “Die Flut” which was his most sold song.

Back to the golden horseman, here he sings about someone who was quite famous but went crazy and had to be brought to a very big mental clinic. The video clip was filmed in Hamburg.

Deutsche Lieder sind natürlich auch in meiner TOP 300 Liste, schliesslich habe ich in diesem Land meine ersten 22 Jahre verbracht. Diese nummer 292 gehört zu der damals sogenannten „Neue Deutsche Welle“ wo viele in ihrer Muttersprache singenden Gruppen auftauchten. Alle erinnern sich noch an Nena, sie war vielleicht die international meist bekannte Vertreterin dieser Welle. Und natürlich, Kraftwerk! Sie erscheinten zwar zuvor, wurden aber später mit hineingezogen.

Dieses 1981 erschiente Lied war Joachim Witt’s erster grosser Erfolg, erreichte in Deutschland den 2 Platz und kam sogar in Österreich auf den 6. Rang. Es folgten weniger erfolgreiche Lieder bis er 1998 mit „Die Flut“ seinen meist verkauften song auflegte.

Der videoclip vom Goldenen Reiter wurde in Hamburg gefilmt.

 

TOP 300 – Nº 293 – Hudson Ford – Burn Baby Burn

Tenho muitas e boas recordações desta canção de 1974 dos britânicos Hudson Ford. Era o tempo das cassetes, das canções de rock ouvidas na rua com leitores de cassete a pilhas. Um amigo meu não gostava desta canção, e foi desta forma que me chamou à atenção a ela. Eu a adorava, como ainda adoro.

Hudson Ford surgiu em 1973 pela saída de John Ford e Richard Hudson dos Strawbs. Ainda esse ano tiveram com ‘Pick up the Peaces’ o seu primeiro êxito que chegou ao 8º lugar nos UK. ‘Burn Baby Burn’ apenas conseguiu o 15º.

I got much and good memories about this song from 1974 from the British Hudson Ford. It was the times of cassettes, of listening to rock songs with cassette players powered by batteries. A friend didn’t like this song, and with this fact I became aware of it and liked it very much, then, and still today.

Hudson Ford was created in 1973 with the exit of John Ford and Richard Hudson from the Strawbs. That year they had their first success with ‘Pick up the Peaces’ which reached nº 8 in UK, ‘Burn Baby Burn’ only made it to nº 15.

Ich habe viele und gute Erinnerungen von diesem Lied aus dem Jahre 1974 der Engländer Hudson Ford. Es war die Zeit der Kassetten, der Rocklieder die wir mit einem mit Batterien betriebenen Kassettenspieler hörten. Ein Kumpel mochte dieses Lied nicht und hatte mich damit darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Ich mochte es sehr, damals, wie heute.

Hudson Ford entstand 1973 als John Ford und Richard Hudson von den Strawbs weggingen. Im selben Jahr hatten sie ihren ersten Erfolg mit ‚Pick up the Peaces‘ der es in England auf Platz 8 schaffte. Mit ‚Burn Baby Burn‘ hingegen reichte es nur für einen 15 Rang.
