Já gostei de Paula’s, mas nunca me quis casar com nenhuma delas. Por isso, nem sei bem a razão desta canção aparecer aqui, por mais, Hey Paula é de 1962, tinha eu 2 anos apenas. Talvez tenha sido devido a uma cassete de 120 minutos com canções dos anos 50 e 60, maioritariamente de Rock’n’roll, onde esta bonita música aparecia.
Paul na realidade era Ray que escrevera esta canção nos seus tempos de estudante. Paula na realidade era Jill, a neta do proprietário da casa onde Ray residia. Ao fim de terem bastante sucesso a nível local um produtor mudou o nome do duo em Paul & Paula, e o sucesso não se fez esperar, como o nº 1 nos American Billboard em 1963 bem comprovou!

Paul in reality was Ray who wrote the song in his times of student; Paula was Jill, the niece of the owner of the building where Ray lived. First they had much success with this song locally, but then, a producer chanced their name to Paul & Paula, so it became an nº1 hit at the American Billboard!
Ich mochte schon einige Paula’s, wollte aber mit keiner von denen heiraten. Also weiss ich es nicht genau warum dieses Lied hier auftaucht, und ausserdem war ich nur 2 Jahre alt als es geschrieben wurde. Vielleicht kommts daher dass es auf einer 120er Rock’n’roll Kassette spielte mit anderen Liedern aus den 50er und 60er Jahren.

Zuerst hatten sie mit diesem Lied viel Erfolg auf lokale Ebene, aber als ein Produktor den Namen des Duos auf Paul & Paula änderte kam der grosse Erfolg, es ging 1963 hoch bis zur nº1 im American Billboard!
